So, it's been a while... Sorry about that...

I just decided about ten seconds ago that I'm going to start selling some of my paintings on Etsy. I actually made the Etsy shop for my paintings on March 19th, 2013 (according to my account; I didn't actually keep track), but I haven't really had the time or enough paintings until recently. I still don't technically have the time or the paintings since I have less then a week of classes before my final exams. I also have a crap-ton of work to do, but I have the inclination for Etsy at the moment.

I have a couple paintings ready to go, and since I'm going to school in the fall, some extra cash would be awesome. I'll be attending an art program and I'll have some painting classes, so there will be plenty more when that rolls around.

In the meantime, I'll be working a full time job during the summer to earn money for food and supplies in the fall (the school I'm going to doesn't have meal plans).

I'm thinking about making another blog and posting there every time I have a new item for Etsy. This may not be the best idea, seeing as I can't seem to keep up with the two I already have, but we'll see.

Here's the first painting I'll be posting:

It's an 8"X10" oil painting of a sunset. If you're interested in it, you can contact me or wait for it to be posted on Etsy.

Have a lovely day!

Candles: Only on Tumblr

So, I was just on Tumblr and I saw this...

I think that's more than enough said.

GOD, it's just so much fun to watch! Where can I buy one of these?

Have a phantasmagorical day. (Yes, that is a real word.)

What I'm REALLY Taking in Grade 12

I don't know if you remember this post called Grade 12 Courses in which I illustrated for you the courses I hoped to take in grade 12. Well as you might expect, things didn't turn out quite as planned.

So, first semester, I have Understanding Canadian Law, Foundations for College Math, Visual Art, and English in that order. Second semester, I have two credit coop, Visual Art again, and Writer's Craft.

That means I didn't get Ancient History, Personal Wellness and Fitness or Film and Video Drama. But I did get Visual Art twice. It also turns out that I cannot take Writer's Craft instead of English.

Now for a little about my classes I have currently:

Law is awesome. My teacher's great and she doesn't load us up with homework, but I did fail the first test she gave us...

Math is math. I'm not a big fan of math, but you know. It's useful.

Art's friggin' fantastic! I have the same teacher as last year and the curriculum is the same so I know what to expect. I'm working on a painting for our five-day project at the moment. I'll post the picture I'm working from at the end.

English... Oh my. I like my teacher, but he's handing out work as if he's everyone's only exam course this semester. On Monday he assigned a 3-4 page informal paper on Modernist Poetry to be handed in on Thursday (so far I have a title: Modernist Poetry). Then he handed out a novel (well, one of three novels. Those being The Great Gatsby, Murder in the Cathedral or Dubliners. I went with the murdery one. Everyone's doing Gatsby) to be read by the 30th. God only knows what kind of hell-spawned essay we'll have to write about that. Now we have to make a webpage on Wikispaces about stuff; I don't even know anymore.

I'm usually not this swamped with English work until the middle of the semester. I'm also starting Driver's Ed on Monday and I haven't even started getting my G1 yet. Not to mention I need to get a job.

Honestly, though. Why is homework allowed? We're legally obliged to go school every day and learn alongside a bunch of people we usually don't like. Then we get to go to our after-school jobs then home to ignore our families in favour of doing more school work which is exactly the same as what we just spent all day doing.

I think this picture I found on Tumblr proves my point:

Also, here's the picture I'm working from for my art project:

Thanks for tuning in, bros. Have a pleasant day and I hope your schooling's going better than mine.

Hey, it's me... You know; Kenzie? The Admin? No? Okay...

Hey. Sorry I disappeared for so long. Sadly, I don't a legitimate excuse for my absence (okay, so my laptop broke last month, but other than that, I got nothing). Nonetheless, I'm going to make an effort (like, a real effort) to blog more regularly on both this and my beauty blog.

Good news; I've filmed the welcome video for my vlog channel (link above) and I'm going to edit soon, but not tonight.

As I'm grade 12 now, I'd also like to update you on my classes because they didn't end up being as I thought they would.

I'll update this if I think of anything else.

There's thunder outside. That is all.

Real Update:

Remember how I said that I recorded the Welcome video for my vlog channel? It has no picture. Like, at all. Seriously right now?!

Fan Fiction and Gallifreyan

So, today (well, technically yesterday) I made it my goal to at least begin to learn how to write in Gallifreyan, which is the language of the Timelords if you didn't already know.

I did pretty well. I found (with very little effort) this page. I took notes of everything in a spare notebook which will now be dedicated to learning Gallifreyan, as well as other fictional languages (such as Elvish) and proceeded to figure out what Hamish Watson-Holmes would look like in Gallifreyan.

Hamish Watson-Holmes is the fictional child of John Watson and Sherlock Holmes. He is also the subject of a fan fiction I am currently writing. I'll keep you updated on it's progress, but it's going to be flipping long (the first chapter is almost 5000 words). I am not the first person to come up with Hamish, but I did try to keep my ideas as original as possible.

Anyway, I went on Paint and threw this together:

Please keep in mind it's not exact. I had to leave the 'H' out of Holmes to make it work. If you know more about writing in Gallifreyan, please let me know in the comments. I'd like some more resources.

May your day be full of celestial might, much like the Space Whale's song.

Disclaimer: I didn't make this beautiful Space Whale picture. Full credit to the artist.

The prologue and chapter one of my fanfic are on The link is in the tab called '' above.

Etsy and Whatnot

Since I plan on being a artist when I grow up (alongside being a makeup artist), I figured a good way to make money is to sell my paintings and drawings on Etsy. My good friend, Abbey, is planning on doing something similar, but instead she'll be selling home-made clothing. You can read more about it here.

I've made my account, but I haven't set up my store yet. When I do, you'll know because the tab will be at the top (I'll also do a blog post). Keep in mind I'm just finishing up grade 11 and it'll be a while before I can actually sell things. In the mean time, here's a YouTube video uploaded by a girl I like to watch who is also named Abby who looks a lot like my friend Abbey. If you're interested in starting your own Etsy store, you should find this very helpful.

In case you're interested, here are some pictures of a couple of paintings I've done:

I hope you enjoyed! And sorry for being MIA for so long. Have a splendid day.

Impossible Astronaut Day

This is happening, okay? I've been watching Doctor Who, and I haven't gotten to this episode yet, but I hopefully will by the time this rolls around.

Let me know if you participate. Post pictures on my Facebook page (link in the tabs above).

Have a who-tastic day!
